plugs video

After what was at times a painful four month process, we're very pleased to have the Plugs "That Number" video finally finished. Directed in the end by Seb Lloyd, and ably assisted by animator Chris Bianchi, it's three and a half minutes of band and animation conjoined together in gently psychedelic harmony. We like it.

More pictures of Morgan in NME shocker...

In case anyone hadn't seen enough of Morgan DIOYY in the press over the last couple of months, NME.com today announced the birth of Morgans' 'other band' ,our very own Plugs .

As reported ,the debut single' 'That Number ' is scheduled for mid april release on PITS ,and it's a darn fine fusion of lolloping rhythms ,acidy grooves and a killer song from everyone's favourite frontman.

Have a listen to the Original/Yuksek mixes below, or join up to the PITS/Plugs mailing list here , and you'll get a free download of the radio edit .

Wax Stag - Short Road EP ( remixes)

With a full album due at some point in the not too distant future, we've had some rather nice remixes of Wax Stag’s 'Short Road ' EP done in the meantime . Lithuanian part time male dance troupe Metal On Metal , fresh from their victorious assault on Bloc Party’s’ Flux’ ,take bits of the title tracks' lead lines and create a roid driven bundle of indie-disco drama full of noisy riffs, vertiginous drops and driving basslines .Wax Stag himself turns in a coolly paced electronic houser ,with hints of 80's boogie, lots of atmosphere and a fat ,warm bassline holding it all together .Biblio's take on 'Folk Rock' is a mix of four parts : the folky intro part ,the swinging easy listening part ,the psyche rock bit ,and the low slung hip hop outro . If all that sounds a bit disjointed ,for some reason it isn't ,it's great .

More spoils from the Bolton Warehouse liberation...

We also got our hands back on all our Friendly Fires records , including the first two EP's and the remix 12" - If you've just discovered them via Zane Lowe and The NME, you're kinda late to the party , but no worries, stock up here before they sign up with The Man and we're not allowed to press any more up .

The return of Wax Stag vinyl

A couple of weeks after Wax Stags 'Short Road' EP was released in Nov 07 , our distributor unexpectedly went bust ( or as unexpectedly as a record distributor going bust can be nowadays , which is not very ) leaving lots of people out of work , lots of labels even more skint than usual, and a few hundred Wax Stag 10's stuck in a Warehouse in Bolton .

We're pleased to say that after a month of fairly unsavoury 'negotiations' with the administrators ,we now have all our stock back ,so please feel free to order here .
